Childrens Rates (all year long)
Age: 0-4 Free; 5-10 $25; 11-16 $36; 17 & up Adult Rates. Children under 12 must be supervised at all times by an adult 18 or older.
Important Information
Beds come with a fitted sheet. Bring your own bedding or rent it for $15/single and $20/double.
Advance reservations for weekend nights are for a two night minimum (e.g. Thu-Fri, Fri-Sat, Sat-Sun). Single night reservations for Fri or Sat may be made one week in advance.
Breitenbush tents and camping spaces are available from Memorial Day week-end to September 30. Personal vehicle camping is available through the October 27.
The two lodge rooms are both handicap accessible. They can be noisy because they are in the main lodge.
If you come alone you may be assigned a roommate (of the same gender), see below for Guaranteed Privacy. You or your roommate may snore. Please come prepared (nose guards, ear plugs) for this possibility.
Cabins have 2 or 3 beds with at least one double. Dorm cabins are same gender and have two sets of bunk beds.
All bathing areas are clothing optional.
Check In / Check Out
Please arrive after 3pm on your first day and depart before 3pm on your last day. All lodging is available after 4pm. Late Arrival for Overnight Guests: If you arrive after the office has closed (6pm), your name and cabin number will be posted on the office door or with the Guest Host in the parking lot. Relax and enjoy the hot springs and facilities and check in at the office first thing after 9am. Please arrive by 10pm. On your last day please have your personal belongings out of your cabin by 1pm.
Deposits and Payment
A non-refundable deposit is required for all reservations. The deposit for personal retreat guests is the first night’s lodging for each person. The deposit for those attending a workshop is the full lodging amount. Your balance is due upon arrival. We accept MasterCard, Visa, cash and personal check with ID.
Deposit Refund Policy
Deposits are non-refundable. With cancellation notice of at least 7 days we will issue a credit voucher (good for one year) for the amount of your deposit less a $20 processing fee. If you cancel less than 7 days in advance, your deposit is forfeited.
Guaranteed Privacy
The cabins accommodate two or three persons. Couples are assigned a cabin to themselves. For Guaranteed Privacy double the rates. Personal Retreat guests (not event participants) may guarantee privacy by adding $30 midweek during the non-peak season.
Discounts
Personal retreat guests who stay 7 days or more and worker owners of other cooperatives receive 10% off their personal retreat fees. Seniors (60+) receive 10% off personal retreat, Day Use and Healing Arts fees. We do not combine specials with discounts. We do not offer discounts on workshop fees or lodging. Service Week programs have reduced rates (see the Schedule of Events for details and dates).
Gift Certificates

Scholarships
We offer a limited number of scholarships for personal retreats and workshops based on financial need. Your application should be submitted as early as possible. Awards are made the 1st of the month preceding the month of your desired stay. Request a form at ec@breitenbush.com or click here to download the scholarship form.
Day Use
Call Ahead — Reservations Are Required. We are open most days for Day Use from 9am to 6pm (click here to see closed and reserved periods). Rates are $12-$25 per adult, sliding scale. Children 4 and under are free, 5-12 year-olds are half the adult rate. This includes use of the hot springs and Daily Well Being Programs. If you would like lunch or dinner, they are $10 each. Clothing is optional in all bathing areas.
Healing Arts
Massage reservations can be made 2 weeks in advance. Early reservations are encouraged, as there is limited availability. A credit card is required at the time of reservation to hold your appointment. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, you are responsible for payment unless we find a replacement for your scheduled appointment. he 90 minute session is $90.
Sweat Lodge Ceremony
Breitenbush is privileged to offer a sweat lodge once a month which is open to everyone without additional fees. Traditionally, participants make offerings to the leader and fire tender such as pipe tobacco, spiritual gifts, food or money. Breitenbush also appreciates any donations that offset the costs of wood and caring for the leaders. Participants are responsible for the fees of any other Breitenbush services they use (hot springs, meals, overnight stays). See here for dates. Please call in advance.
What to bring
Bedding, pillow, towels, flashlight, water bottle (not bottled water, our water is pure and delicious), clock, walking shoes, rain gear and caffeinated beverages if you want them. You or your roomate may snore. Please come prepared (nose guards, ear plugs) for this possibility. Traction devices for your vehicle are required by law from November to April.
What not to bring
Pets, burnables (candles, incense), electric devices (hairdryers, curling irons, coffee makers), bottled water, recreational drugs or alcohol. Please do not use perfume, cologne or scented toiletries.
Assistance Animals
In compliance with Oregon State law and the Americans With Disabilities Act we allow trained dog guides for persons who are blind, trained hearing ear dogs for persons who are deaf, trained assistance animals for persons who are permanently physically impaired, and task trained service animals for persons with a mental disability.
There is no public phone or internet use at Breitenbush
Due to very limited capacity public phone access is for Emergency Use. We are out of cellular phone range. Please make all necessary phone calls from Detroit on your way in.
Wheelchair Accessibility
We have a very limited number of wheelchair accessible rooms and cabins. The workshop spaces in the lodge are accessible by ramp. However, our unpaved paths are narrow and sometimes steep. Access to bathing areas requires mobility. An assistant or companion is highly recommended.
