The Mushroom Gathering: The Edible Mushroom

The 2009 Mushroom Conference will focus on mushrooms as food. Celebrity chefs will share techniques about gourmet cooking and mushroom preservation. Mycologists will teach proper mushroom identification for the purposes of eating wild foraged mushrooms safely. Mushroom feasting will be directed by professional Chefs at the Cooking and Tasting event. Needle-felt a wool mushroom model in a workshop taught by designer Molly Bernstein. Guided field trips, lectures, cooking, art, and identification workshops will fill the time between soaking in the hot waters of the natural springs.
