27th Annual Breitenbush Mushroom Gathering: Mushroom Kaleidescope

The 2012 Breitenbush Mushroom Gathering will celebrate 27 years of gathering, enjoying, and learning about mushrooms at Breitenbush Hot Springs. We will focus on the diversity of the wild mushrooms in the Pacific Northwest and the many functions that mushrooms have for both humans and the natural world. Learn interesting facts about fungi during the guided field trips and evening lectures. Participate in the cooking workshop, Paint with Mushroom Pigments, and attend identification sessions for all levels of mycology enthusiasts. Paul Kroeger, Danny Miller, Noah Siegel and associates will be heading the identification sessions and presenting the evening lectures.

You will be sure to know lots about fungi by the end of the weekend! In between interesting mushroom activities, be sure to take some time for soaking in the hot waters of the natural springs. Treat yourself to an educational, delicious, and relaxing autumnal event in the midst of the old growth forests.
