Introduction to Thai Massage For Couples, Individuals, Family and Friends

This Playshop is open to lay people and massage therapists who want to learn to care for others using playful and deep techniques. Traditional Thai Massage was created in India 2500 years ago by the physician to the Buddha as a form of Loving Kindness (Metta). Learn how to perform a one hour sequence on your loved ones and/or clients applying the methods of stretching, compression, rhythm and joint mobilization.

Thai Massage is performed on cushioned mats on the floor and recipients wear loose comfortable clothing. It is strongly encouraged that participants have some yoga or body awareness and have the ability to move around on their hands and knees. Price includes instructional manual and 15 CEUs.

D’vorah Swarzman has been studying and practicing the art and science of Traditional Thai Massage for the past 14 years, returning regularly to Thailand for continued training. She integrates her healing work with rhythm, improvisation, mindfulness and vipassana meditation. She honors her teachers as she practices these ancient healing and spiritual traditions.
