Nature Spirits Retreat

Celebrate a summer weekend in communion with deep nature here at Breitenbush. Chant to the music of a creek bordered by willow and hedge-nettle, alder, cedar and Douglas fir. Make offerings to grandfather/grandmother cottonwood and yew, observed by squirrel, deer, raven, blue jay and owl. Do ceremony to honor the spirit of fire and of the stars.

In this retreat we open with respect to the elements and the beings that live on this sacred land. Listening for their wisdom and learning from their signs, we offer them our attention. We work with tree, plant, stone and animal spirit lore and explore teachings of the sacred wheel. Meditation and shamanic journey renew our seeing, hearing and feeling as we offer our blessings and receive them in return from our magnificent relatives on Mother Earth, the Spirits of Nature.

Margaret Duperly, a resident of Breitenbush for 12 years, is an artist, craftsperson and shamanist who has trained with Sun Bear, Michael Harner, Sandra Ingerman and Vicki Noble among others.
