Visionseeker Level 2: Spirit Medicine

Healthcare professionals and laypersons alike are rediscovering the healing modalities pioneered by indigenous shamans. These time-tested techniques are being reworked, providing non-tribal Westerners with effective methods for healing and problem solving. We will expand our connections to our helping spirits, teachers and healing masters, as well as the elementals. We will experience a classic level of shamanic initiation, work with shamanic extraction methods and learn a unique approach to soul retrieval. Bring a rattle, hand drum, notebook, a bandana or eyeshade and a light blanket. Recommended reading: Wesselman and Kuykendall, Spirit Medicine; Ingerman and Wesselman, Awakening to the Spirit World.

Visionseeker Level 3 will be offered at Breitenbush October 2-7.

Hank Wesselman, PhD, is a research paleoanthropologist and author of the Spiritwalker Trilogy who has spent much of his life among traditional tribal peoples in Africa. He is also a shamanic practitioner and teacher now in the 29th year of his apprenticeship.  His most recent books are The Bowl of Light: Ancestral Wisdom from a Hawaiian Shaman and Awakening to the Spirit World (with Sandra Ingerman).
