Oregon School of Massage: First Degree Reiki Class

Reiki is a form of natural healing that takes place through gentle, sacred touch. It restores health and harmony to the physical body, releases emotional blockages and activates a closer connection to spirit. It is also a wonderful and easy form of self-healing. Reiki works with the vibration of love and compassion. Its recent origins have been traced back to Japan in the late 1800’s and the inspired work of Dr. Mikao Usui. The opening to this simple and mysterious universal life energy happens through a series of initiations and the practice of the form through various hand positions. Frank honors the oral tradition and Phyllis Furumoto as the Lineage Bearer. This is a First Degree Reiki class.

Frank Coppieters, PhD, Reiki Master, LMT #2385, taught at the graduate level for 13 years at the University of Antwerp in Belgium before he became a spiritual teacher, counselor and Reiki Master. He has a full-time private practice in the Raleigh Hills area of Portland where he does Reiki, massage, shamanistic work and counseling. Frank teaches Reiki and other continuing education classes at Oregon School of Massage.
